Arsenal lost 3-0 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.

Goals from Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden rapped up the comprehensive win for Pep Guardiola side.

It was the first time Mikel Arteta will return to his former employees after he moved from being Guardiola assistant to Arsenal’s manager.

Although, the manager tactics wasn't much criticised haven kept senior players such as Alexander Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Nicolas Pepe on the bench.

Many fans frown at the Gunners most experienced center back, David Luiz who was faulted for two goals scored by Sterling and De Bruyne penalty.

The former Chelsea defender came on in the 24 minutes for injured Pablo Mari.

He was sent off in the 46th minutes for a challenge in the box against Mahrez.

Before the game, fans were lefted stunned about the omission of Mesut Ozil from the match day squad.

The play maker was listed in the team, but the manager said that his decision was tactical.

Mesut Ozil is Arsenal’s highest paid player.

When asked why the German playmaker was left out of his plans, Arteta told reporters post-match: "It was a tactical reason."
