Aubameyang slams VAR after failing to send off Trent Alexander-Arnold

Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has reacted after Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold escaped a red card following a dangerous and poorly-timed tackle on teammate Buyako Saka.

Arsenal recorded a 2-1 win against Liverpool on Wednesday night at the Emirates stadium.

Goals from Alexander Lacazette and Reiss Nelson cancelled Saido Mane opening goal.

The moment of controversy came when VAR opted not to review the original incident which saw Trent Alexander Arnold dangerous tackle and instead, referee Paul Tierney brandished a yellow card.

Aubameyang took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon saying:

"WTF didnt even get the VAR on this one."
