Frank Lampard have expressed his disappointment after his side dropped all three points against West Ham.


Yesterday, Chelsea lost 3-1 to West Ham at the London stadium. The Blues had taken the lead after Willian converted a well taken penalty.

Just before half time, Soucek took advantage from a set piece to level the score in the London derby.



David Moyes side took the from Antonio before Willian trade mark free kick brought the Blues back into the game.

Speaking after the game, Lampard said: “I wouldn’t say it is the story of our season because it’s been a good season, but there have been so many of these moments.

“The players in those moments have to show an extra mentality to see a game through like this when you have a lot of domination.”

Former Manchester United and Everton manager, Moyes made changes as he brought in Andriy Yarmolenko who  fired home winner for West Ham to end the game at 3-2.

The Blues boss believes his side wasted their opportunity to move to third after Everton had beaten third placed Leicester City earlie5in the day.

“I’ve seen us play great games, but I also have seen opportunities to close a gap or move into third wasted. That’s the difference at the minute and shows how much work we’ve got to do,” Lampard added.

Chelsea loss to West Ham made it their 10th league defeat of the season. Chelsea are two points clear of Manchester United and Wolves in fifth and sixth respectively.
