The governor of Lagos State, Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu took to his page to celebrate Prof Yomi Abayomi.
Prof Yomi Abayomi who is the commissioner for health in Lagos, is a year older.
Taking to his page, the Governor tweeted:
"To a distinguished Gentleman, an astute professional, and an indefatigable team player.
A very Happy Birthday to our Commissioner for Health, @ProfAkinAbayomi
You rose up to the occasion during an unprecedented emergency"
He added: "...you brought your wealth of experience to the table and helped us make decisions for the overall good of Lagosians.
My prayer for you today is that God will continue to show up for you and bless you.
Akin Abayomi is a specialist in Internal Medicine, Haematology, Oncology, Environmental Health and Biosecurity.
He was the president of the South African Society of Haematology and serves on council of the International Society for Clinical Cytometry and the European, Middle East and Africa Bio-banking Society.
