It's seems Matteo Guendouzi might have played his last game for Arsenal football club.

The French international has been out of the team for weeks and fans have begin to inquire what's going on.

Apparently, coach Mikel Arteta has left Guendouzi out of the first team since the last two weeks.

This came after he had a burst up against Neal Maupay during the Gunners 2-1 loss to Brighton Hove Albion at the Amex stadium.

Neal Maupay had collided with Arsenal's Bernd Leno which saw the German shot stopper stretched off during the game. Maupay went ahead to score the winner for Brighton.

After the game, the camera pounced on Guendouzi holding the neck of Maupay in a scuffle.

The manager, Arteta wasn't happy with what Guendouzi did. Although, he escaped sanction from the English FA but didn't escape Arteta's punishment.

According to The Athletic, Matteo Guendouzi has not trained with the Arsenal first team.

It's been gathered that he been training alone with a fitness coach, as instructed by coach Arteta.

The Athletic further stated that the midfielder is yet to apologize to the manager.

Reports suggests he might be used in the deal to bring Thomas Partey into the team from Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Arsenal who are seventh on the league standings will host third placed Leicester City today at the Emirates stadium.
