Arsenal’s defender, Shkodran Mustafi has given update on his injury. Recall that the German defender has missed the last two games for Arsenal due to an hamstring injury.

Mustafi walked off during the final stages of their 2-0 win against Manchester City in the semi final of English FA Cup.

Arsenal sealed a spot in the final after two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in both half of the game at the Wembley stadium.

According to reports from medical team of the north London side, Mustafi suffered an hamstring and required a surgery.

The former Valencia star has now taken to his page to share of himself after the operation. He stated that it went well but was unhappy as he would miss the final.

Arsenal will face Chelsea in the final on August 1st.

He captioned the snap: "Missing out the @EmiratesFACup Final for the second time. The good news is that the surgery went well and that I am not the type of guy who gives up easily 👊🏻. After the disappointment I accepted the situation and I am now focused to recover to be back on the pitch 🙌🏻. #SM20"

Shkodran Mustafi has missed the loss to Aston Villa and final day win against Watford.
