I'm sorry about the result - Arteta begs fans after derby loss to Tottenham

Mikel Arteta side were stunned 2-1 at the Tottenham's Hotspur stadium in the London derby on Sunday evening.

Goals from Heung Mi Son and Toby Alderweireld ensured Jose Mourinho side cruise above Arsenal on the league table.

Arsenal had taken an early lead after Alexander Lacazette powerful effort, but Sead Kolasinac poor back pass was capitalised by Son who finished pass Emiliano Martinez.

Meanwhile,manager of the Gunners apologised to the fans following the result which sees Arsenal drop down to eight on the league table.

He said: "I'm sorry for the fans because I know how much it means to all of them. We were very willing to give them a big moment of happiness and unfortunately, I am sorry but we could not do it."
