It was great to be back at Anfield after 7 years - Pepe Reina

Pepe Reina was in goal for Villa as Liverpool defeated Dean Smith side 2-0 at Anfield stadium on Sunday night.

Although, the Reds have been crowned the Champions of the Premier League season for the first time in 30 years.

Goals from Saido Mane and Curtis Jones ensured Jurgen Klopp side recovered from their 4-0 loss to Manchester City last week.

It was 7 years since Reina left the Anfield stadium. Reina was signed by Liverpool from Villarreal in July 2005. Reina moved on to Liverpool and made his debut in the 2005 UEFA Super Cup, which Liverpool won.

He has spells at Napoli and on loan until he joined Bayern Munich in permanently in 2014.

Taking to his page, he wrote :

Reina is currently on loan at Aston Villa from AC Milan.
