Two goals from Harry Kane ensured Spurs cruise pass the Magpies.
The English international has dedicated the win to his teammate Serge Aurier.
Kane also bagged his 200th career goal.
Recall that Aurier lost his brother who was shot dead outside a club in France days ago.
Kane wrote: "That win was for you @Serge_aurier 💙 Very proud to reach 200 club goals. On to the next 200 ⚽️💯💯"
Meanwhile, Serge Aurier kept his cool as he played all 90 minutes in the game.
