Kante will miss Liverpool clash today due to harmstring

Chelsea have been dealt a serious blow ahead of a crunchy tie against Liverpool. The Blues travel to Anfield stadium on Wednesday to face the newly crowned Champions.

It's been gathered Liverpool will be presented with league title after the game.

The match is expected to kick off at 8:15pm GMT.

According to reports, Frank Lampard will be without Kante. Its been confirmed that the French  International won't be fit to play the game.

Recall that the former Leicester City star suffered a hamstring injury in Chelsea's win over Watford on July 4.

Kante has so far missed three Premier League fixtures against Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Norwich City. He also didn't play in Chelsea's 3-1 win against  Manchester United in the semi final of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Chelsea are currently sit third in the table and they are just a point ahead of Leicester City in fourth and Manchester United in fifth position respectively.

The Blues will be hoping to finish the season on a high with a top four spot.

Chelsea host Wolverhampton in the final day fixture of the season.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard will be hoping to have Kante back ahead of their FA Cup final against Arsenal on August 1.

Chelsea also have a second leg clash in the Champions League last-16 tie away to Bayern Munich on August 8.

Recall that the Blues lost the first leg at Stamford Bridge 3-0.
