Kieran Tierney has issued an apology after he was seen making an offensive gesture in a squad picture tweeted by Emiliano Martinez following Arsenal's 2-0 FA Cup semi-final win against Manchester City.
Martinez - who put in another assured performance in the absence of Bernd Leno - posted a picture of the squad celebrating together with the caption: "We are a team that’s all that matters, what a performance"
Tierney took to Twitter to apologise, insisting he meant no offence and did not realise that particular picture would be posted online.
"Didn’t realise this was getting posted," he said. "Was a joke with the Kitman. I’m so sorry if it caused anyone offence - wasn’t meant in any way
