Manchester United players arrive Carrington training Centre this morning ahead of their mid week clash.

It's been gathered that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side will face Aston Villa on Thursday.

Fans of the Red Devils were surprised to see youngster Ethan Laird join the senior team in training ahead of the game.

According to reports, Manchester United boss, Solskjaer reportedly promoted Ethan Laird to first-team training last week.

The 18-year-old defender was promoted to first-team training last week due to injuries to Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones.

Going into the game, Red Devils are left with Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly and Lindelof in centre back of the defense.

Ethan Laird comes in as back up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, meanwhile the rest of the team are in good shape.

"If you win every single [game] we’re in the top four. We cannot rely on help from anyone else. We have to do it ourselves and go into next season," the United boss said at his pre-match press conference.

Manchester United are yet to loose a game since the league restarted on June 17. A draw against Tottenham seems to be the only point dropped.

Its been gathered that Manchester United are currently four points from the top four, as they sit in fifth with 55 points.
