Kelechi Iheanacho's goal bags nomination for season award

Nigerian international seems to have gotten a reward for his performance for Leicester City.

Although, Kelechi Iheanacho hasn't been the first choice forward for Brendan Rodgers side, as Jamie Vardy leads the attack.

The former Manchester City star is usually been played as a center forward during their cup games.

One for his goal has been nominated for a season award.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike against Brentford is in contention for goal of the season from any Leicester player.

Iheanacho scored as Leicester beat the Bees 1-0 in January’s FA Cup fourth round encounter at Griffin Park.

Although the forward is expected to face competition from likes of Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Ayoze Perez, Harvey Barnes, Ben Chilwell and Hamza Choudhury.

Recall that Iheanacho signed a five-year contract in 2017 for a reported £25 million fee from Manchester City.

The 23 years old has played 70 league games and scored 9 goals so far since he moved to the King Power Stadium.
