Oba Goal aka Obafemi Martins signs for Shanghai Shenhua as Ighalo's replacement

It appears that that Chinese side, Shanghai Shenhua has began plan for their forthcoming season in absence of their star striker, Jude Ighalo.

it's been reported that the Chinese club have finally completed the transfer of Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins.

The Nigerian forward is expected to come in as a direct replacement for Jude Ighalo who is currently on loan at Manchester United.

Recall that Ighalo has joined the Red Devils in January for a loan deal at the end of the season, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the league was suspended which eventually made Ighalo pen a nother six months deal at Old Trafford.

It's understood that the former Watford forward deal will expire in January 2021.

Meanwhile, Obafemi Martins has been unveiled earlier today. This becomes he's second spell at Shanghai Shenhua. Martins played for the 2016-2018 scoring 32 goals in 59 appearances while providing nine assists.

He has been handed number 17 jersey, same number he previously used at Shanghai Shenhua.

It's been suggested that the Chinese Super League is expected to resume the 2020-21 season sometime in July. Although, no official date has been set.
