Villa clinch a crucial 2-0 victory over Palace, to boost their survival chances and close the gap on their rivals above them.
Two goals from Trezeguet wrapped up the win, the first coming in stoppage time at the end of the first half, before the winger scored his second midway in the second.
Villa could have scored more, with Hourihane and Konsa both going close, along with having a penalty decision overturned by VAR. To make matters worse for Palace, Benteke was shown a red card after the full-time whistle.
Villa are now four points behind Watford and West Ham, moving them up to 18th and they face Everton next time out. Meanwhile Palace remain 14th, winless in their last five games and they will return to Selhurst Park to face Manchester United on Thursday.
