PSG star, Herrera congratulates Leeds despite admitting his strong affection for Man Utd

Ander Herrera has given his opinion on his former club, Manchester United as he congratulated Leeds United.

Recalled that last night, Leeds gained promotion back to the Premier League after 16 years following West Brom 2-1 loss to Huddersfield United.

The Spanish international who left Manchester United on a free transfer in 2019 summer admits the club's still in heart.

He praised Leeds United boss, Bielsa who managed the club since he was appointed two years ago.

Herrera also sent a shout out to Real Madrid's full back, Marcelo who clinched the La Liga title with the Los Blancos.

He tweeted: "MUFC will always be my team in England, but putting rivalries aside, I want to congratulate Bielsa and his honest and always attractive football. I am so happy for you, Marcelo"

Ander Herrera has already lifted the French League with Paris Saint-Germain after the season was ended prematurely due to coronavirus pandemic. The league position was determined using the points per game, PPG, method.

Meanwhile, PSG are still in the race in the UEFA's Champions League, haven qualified for the quarter final.

Thomas Tuchel side will play Saint Etienne in the Coupe de France next week.
