Real Madrid gives update on Marcelo injury

Ahead of their La Liga clash against Alaves, Real Madrid have revealed that Marcelo is out.

It's been gathered that he suffered an injury to left adductor muscle.

The statement reads:

"Following the tests carried out today on Marcelo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to his left adductor muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed."

Zinedine Zidane side will host Alaves at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium on Thursday night. The kick-off time is 9pm GMT.
