Manchester City have continued to show their dominance when they face lesser opposition in the League. This comes after a 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle during the mid week.
Sterling's opener in the 21st minutes took his tally to 63 league goals for the Citizens, one ahead of Toure who scored 62 goals during his eight-year stay in Manchester.
Sterling has scored 15 goals in 30 league appearances so far in the campaign in the absence of their star man, Sergio Aguero.
It's understood that Argentina superstar Sergio Aguero has been injured for Manchester City and might be unavailable for their Champions League clash.
Just so so you know, Sergio Aguero is Manchester City's all-time top scorer in the English top-flight with 180 goals in 263 appearances.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling and Toure are second and third respectively.
Pep Guardiola's captain, David Silva who is set to leave at the end of the season once he's deal expires rank in the fourth place with 59 league goals.
Toure left Etihad Stadium in 2017-18 campaign to join Greek giants Olympiacos where he spent just three months before terminating his contract.
The 37-year-old most recently played in China League One where he helped Qingdao Huanghai win the second division title and gained promotion to the Chinese Super League for the 2020 season.
