N igerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his disappointment after his side missed out from the Champions League spot in the final day.
Leicester City had held the third place spot in the first half of the season, but following the resumption of the league after three months of coronavirus break, Leicester form dropped and saw likes of Chelsea and Manchester United took advantage.
The Foxes fell to fifth after a 2-0 loss to Manchester United on the final day of the season.
Ndidi went further to thank the fans for their support despite the coronavirus pandemic.
He tweeted: "We are a bit disappointed to finish 5th. But overall. It was a great season!! I want to first of all thank our fans for being with us even when the stadiums were empty due to the pandemic, it was indeed a season to learn from and grow into next season thanks for support #foxes 💙"
