Zayn Malik's ex Rebecca Ferguson shared her best wishes with his supermodel girlfriend as Gigi whose expecting her first child with the singer.

The X Factor runner-up has commented on the couple's exciting baby news as Gigi, 25, prepares to give birth in September.

Liverpudlian Rebecca, 33, sent her ex's girlfriend her best wishes and revealed she doesn't want to "disrespect" the catwalk model.

Touching on the subject lightly, she told OK! magazine: "I'm really mindful about what I say, for Gigi.

"If I was pregnant, I'd never want to hear my baby father's ex talking about me and my pregnancy."

Rebecca made a sweet gesture to the couple, adding: "So all I'll say is, any baby news is good news because it means a lovely little life is coming into the world.

"I don't want to disrespect Gigi on their lovely relationship."

Rebecca once dated Zayn, 27, in 2011 for four months when she was a 24-year-old mum-of-two, and the former One Direction star was 18.
