Arteta praise Guardiola for tutoring him as He wins first silverware as Arsenal manager

Mikel Arteta won his first trophy as a manager after a 2-1 win against Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured that the north London side finished the campaign with a trophy.


Although, Christian Pulisic scored the only goal for Chelsea but he was substituted due to an harmstring as well as Cesar Azpilicueta in the first half.


Arteta becomes the first Arsenal manager to win a major trophy in his first season in charge since George Graham in 1986-87.

Recall that the Spainsh international was appointed in January after Unai Emery was sacked last year.

It's Mikel Arteta's first experience as a manager, after he spent two years as an assistant under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.


The former Everton star praised Guardiola's influence in his career as a manager.


Speaking during his post-match news conference, he said: "He has been a key figure in my development as a coach,"

"He has my gratitude. I wouldn't be sitting here today without him. I have to thank him big time."

The FA Cup triumph for Arsenal mean that the Gunners have qualified to play kn Europa League group stage for next season despite finishing the campaign in eight position.
