Arsenal up their 14th FA Cup trophy in the club's history over the weekend. Also Mikel Arteta who was appointed in January as manager of the club.


Captain of the north London side stepped up and guided his team to glory at the final against their London rival.

Aubameyang scored two goals as Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 in Saturday's final at Wembley Stadium.

Arsenal had gone behind after five minutes as Christain Pulisic scored to give Blues the lead but Arsenal equalised after Aubameyang scored a penalty. He added his second goal with a fine finish pass Caballero in the second half.


Meanwhile, Pierre-Francois Aubameyang has took to his social media space to praise his son, Pierre-Emerick, for fulfilling his promise of guiding Arsenal to FA Cup triumph.

"You are amazing, you promised it to me and you did it," he wrote on Instagram.

"All the credit goes to you my son, your mother, the whole family and I are proud of you. What an honour for our Gabon."

Arsenal fans will hoping that Aubameyang signs new contract extension as he's currently in his final year of his contract. 


According to Sky Sports, Mikel Arteta remains optimistic that his captian will sign a new deal with the Gunners.



Pierre-Emerick has also followed in his father's footsteps by turning out for the Panthers at senior level despite being born in France and playing for the French U21 team initially.


The 2015 African Footballer of the Year is currently Gabon's all-time top-scorer with 25 goals after 61 appearances since his debut outing in 2009.
