It's been confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has picked up the gong following series of votes which was casted by the north London fans.
Recall that weeks ago, Arsenal listed likes of Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka, Granit Xhaka, Bernd Leno and Aubameyang as nominees for the award.
Aubameyang has emerged winner, Bernd Leno came second and 18 years old Bukayo Saka was named in third place.
Arsenal had a poor start to the season under Unai Emery which saw the Gunners slip down in the table to the second half of the table.
Mikel Arteta was recruited to succeed Emery and he guided Arsenal to finish eight in the league position.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang captain his side to glory on the FA Cup final which saw him score a brace against Manchester City in the semi final and a brace against Chelsea in the final at Wembley stadium.
The former Borussia Dortmund star finished the campaign in the league with 29 goals, two goals behind top scorer Jamie Vardy of Leicester City.
It's been reported by Sky Sports that Aubameyang is set to sign a new contract extension which will see him remain at Emirates until 2023, with a weekly wages of 250,000 pounds per week.
