Bayern Munich Coach, Hansi Flick Named Germany's Coach of the year

Bayern boss Hansi Flick has been named Germany’s ‘Coach of the Year’ for 2020.



In the annual vote held by sports magazine kicker among sports journalists.

The 55-year-old came out on top with 232 votes, way ahead of Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp (164) – his predecessor as Champions League winner – and Freiburg’s Christian Streich (40).


The World Cup-winning assistant coach from 2014 came to Munich in summer 2019 as assistant to then head coach Niko Kovač.

After Kovač’s dismissal in November of last year, Flick took charge of the German record champions and soon started an incredible run of form winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and UEFA Champions League
