"The Beautiful Competition Is Back" - Ronaldo Gushes Over Return Of Champions League

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his delight as the UEFA Champions League competition resume after five months of break.

Recall that the competition went on break back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic which halted all football action all over the world.

It's been confirmed that the season for the 2019-20 campaign of the Champions League will resume today.

Although, there are four games in the round of 16 clash which will be completed before heading to Lisbon for the quarter final.

Juventus will host Lyon at Allianz stadium and Manchester City host Real Madrid on Friday, 6th of August 2020.

Both games will be played simultaneously at 8pm GMT.

Juventus will be hoping to over turn the first leg result which saw Maurizio Sarri men loose 1-0 in France back in March.

Juventus emerged ninth successive Scudetto Champions in Italy with two games to spare but ended the campaign with a point ahead of second place Inter Milan.

Recalled that Crisitano Ronaldo was benched in the season final game against Roma which Juventus lost, as the manager rested the Portuguese international who has scored more than 30 goals in the league.
