FA postpones Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana dates

According to Marca, Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have proposed that the Copa del Rey will follow the same format as last season. 

LaLiga Santander is set to resume the new 2020-21 season on September 13. 

While Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana have had start dates put forward.


It's been gathered that all games being played over a single leg until the semi finals, which will be two-legged.


The final is set for April 17, 2021.

This will see the first qualifying round played on November 11, 2020.

Copa del Rey 2020/21
Qualifying round: November 11, 2020

First round: December 16, 2020


Second round: January 6, 2021

Round of 32: January 16, 2021 (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Athletic Club will play on January 20 due to their participation in the Supercopa)

Round of 16: January 27, 2021

Quarter finals: February 3, 2021

Semi finals: February 10 (first leg), March 3 (return)

Final: April 17, 2021

It remains to be seen when the 2019/20 final will be played.

Supercopa de Espana 2020/21
First semi final: January 13, 2021

Second semi final: January 14, 2021
