Guardiola rules out Aguero ahead of Lyon game,says He's still recovering in Barcelona

M anchester City close to surpass their season best in the UEFA Champions League when they hope to qualify for the semi final stage.

The Premier League side will face Lyon in one legged quarter final clash on Saturday.

The game is expected to kick off at 8pm GMT.

Recall that Pep Guardiola side knocked out Real Madrid in the round of 16, which saw coach Zinedine Zidane got exited from the European competition for the first time in his managerial career.

While French side Lyon knocked out Serie A side Juventus in their other fixture.

Pep Guardiola side has been without their star forward in Sergio Aguero. Recall that he suffered an injury last month which made him require immediate surgery.

The Argentine was flown to Barcelona to undergo an operation on his knee, according latest reports from the club he's recuperating well.

Speaking ahead of the Lyon game, Guardiola revealed that Aguero is ruled out for the game as he's still undergoing treatment in Barcelona.

On Aguero injury, Guardiola said: "He is still in Barcelona. If he was to come here, he would have to do a test. 

"He is still in Barcelona making progress with his recovery."
