The Argentinian was sacked as manager at White Hart Lane last November after five-and-a-half years in the role.

‘After the Champions League final, four years in the top four, two years without signing, a different management strategy was needed.

Jose Mourinho was appointed and he guided Tottenham Hotspur to finish sixth place in the league standing.
