It seems the love story between Lionel Messi and Barcelona might be coming to an end anytime soon.


All the good relationship fell apart after the Club embarrassing 8-2 loss against Bayern Munich in the quarter final clash of Champions League.

It was reported that Barcelona move to sack their manager, Quique Setién after rhr game and few days after, Ronald Koeman was named as the new boss.

Ronald Koeman held a meeting with Lionel Messi on the way forward with the club after they finished the season with a trophy.

Sky Sports reports that Messi stated his intention to seek for new challenge.

It's been gathered that the Argentine has submitted a transfer request and asked to leave the club.

According to Goal, Messi, 33, has sent a fax to Barcelona asking the club to activate a clause in his contract.

 Although, Messi current deal with Barcelona is set to expire at the end of next season.

The 33-year-old has won La Liga 10 titles and lifted the Champions League four times with the Camp Nou outfit.

Also, Messi has won the Ballon d'Or a record six times.
Meanwhile, Barcelona former captain, Carles Puyol has moved to show support to Messi in the transfer saga with the club.

He tweeted in Spainsh which can be translated in English as; "Respect and admiration, Leo. All my support, friend."

While Luis Suarez who is set to be sold I coming days by Barcelona also reacted to Puyol tweets.
