It appears that Thiago Silva move to Chelsea might be imminent following the Brazilian bid to PSG fans.

Recall that Kingsley Coman header from Kimmich cross settled the game for Bavarians to lift the European trophy.

The 35 years old has been reported to join Chelsea and rumours have it that Frank Lampard is set to appoint him as captain.

In a post on Instagram, Silva penned an emotional farewell to the PSG fans as he wrote: "The value of things is not in the time they last but in the intensity with which they happen.

"For this reason, they are unforgettable moments, unexplainable things and incomparable people," quoting Fernando Pessoa, then writing:

"Today a cycle ends, after eight years with the PSG team I would like to thank my teammates, the whole technical team and management, the fans, my family, God and friends, for all of these happy moments we experienced in the City of Lights.

"Here, with my wife Belle Silva, we have experienced unforgettable moments, our children have grown, we have become French citizens, and will forever carry these years and France in our hearts. Thank you so much."

Meanwhile, former Chelsea captain who is now an assistant at Aston Villa, John Terry was quick to react to Silva open letter.
