Wijnaldum sends message to his country mate, Memphis Depay

Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum has sent a message on social media to his international teammate Memphis Depay .

Dutch midfielder Wijnaldum has posted on Twitter a message to Lyon attacker and captain Depay, who has had a long-term injury absence with a knee injury.

Wijnaldum took to his page and wrote: "Proud of my bro 🙌🏾worked his ass off to recover from his knee injury and to be back on the field stronger. 💪🏾 Welcome back, see you soon 🦁 @Memphis"

While Depay replied: "I appreciate you brother see you soon 🙏🏽💜"

Depay hasn’t played for French club Lyon since December 2019, but had scored 14 goals in just 19 games prior to that in the season.

He played in his side loss to Paris St-Germain in the French League cup final.

Lyon lost 6-5 via penalties after a goals draw after 120 minutes.
