W illian Borges da Silva, commonly known as Willian, has finally penned an open letter to Chelsea fans .
The Brazilian turned 32 years old today and he becomes a free agent after he refused a contract extension with Chelsea.
Willian started his career at Corinthians, before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in August 2007 for a fee of €14 million. In his six years at the club, he won honours including five Ukrainian Premier League titles and the UEFA Cup in 2009.
In 2013, he briefly signed for Anzhi Makhachkala before joining Chelsea for £30 million, winning the Premier League and League Cup in his second season in England.
It was reported that Chelsea had offered the winger a two years deal but he wanted three years contract which Blues have a project for young players and won't offer a player above 30 years more than a year deal.
He played 234 league games and scored 37 times in the league for Blues. Willian has won Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups, Europa League titles with the Blues.
