Recall that Wolverhampton ended the season in sixth position at the end of 2019-2020 season after their 2-0 loss tk Chelsea in the final game of the season.
The same ritual repeated itself on Thursday, Wolves star Adama Traore was caught on camera as the backroom staff rubbed baby oil all over his arms before the Europa League win against Olympiakos.
It’s been gathered that it was a solution to prevent beaten defenders tugging at Traore’s arms when he goes past him to try and slow him down during games.
Adama Traore has become a winger to reckon with in the Premier League following the use of his pace and crossing abilities.
Nuno Espirito Santo side defeated Olympiacos by a penalty socted by Risk Jimenez in the right minutes of the game.
Wolverhampton have qualified for the quarter final in the Europa League. Wolves will now face Sevilla in the next phase of the competition which will be a one legged tie.
According to The Sun, a Wolves insider said, “It’s something we’ve had to do to protect Adama.
“Defenders are so worried about him getting away from them with his pace they were reaching out and tugging at his arm.
“That was causing the shoulder to pop out during games.Lubricating his arms makes it harder for opponents to grab him and helps prevent further damage.”
