Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has continued to be a leader at the north London since he was appointed. The former Borussia Dortmund star guided Arsenal to lift the FA Cup under Mikel Arteta last season. He also lifted the Community shield after victory against Liverpool at Wembley last month.

Recall that he finished last season as club top scorer and he has scored a goal so far this new campaign.

It's been gathered that Mikel Arteta is currently in the market for a creative midfielder.

Mesut Ozil has been frozen out of the squad and Matteo Guendouzi doesn't looks to be in the good book for the coach after fall out with Arteta.

Mikel Arteta has identified Houssem Aouar as a potential target. The Lyon talisman is reportedly valued at £45m.

Meamwhile Aubameyang has urged Arsenal to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

Arsenal have reported offered £34m bid for Aouar this week.

'He's a very good player,' Aubameyang said, as reported by The Mirror. 'I hope we will be lucky to have these types of players at the club, I'm sure he can bring a lot to us.

'I hope he will come even though he is at Lyon.'

Recall that it's Arsenal second bud for the player after the Gunners had an initial offer of £32m rejected for Aouar.
