Former Super Eagles defender, Ajibade Babalade has died at the age of 48.
The defender reportedly suffered cardiac arrest which he didn't survive.
The retired footballer won bronze at the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal.
He died on Friday afternoon, September 4, while being rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
He is survived by a wife and three children, who all are based in the US.
Just so you know, Ajibade started his professional career at Stationery Stores of Lagos state in 1990.
He moved on to join 3SC. He guided Oluyole Warriors to the tournament of the CAF Champions in League in 1996.
He also played for Ivorian side, African Sports, Anyang LG Cheetahs (Korea), SK Sturm Graz (Austria), and Indian club Mohun Bagan AC.
It's been gathered that he also managed the Shooting Stars FC in 2008.
