Chelsea have been active in the transfer window so far. Frank Lampard has signed son big names so far in the current window.

Fans of the Blues have been over the moon with their attack, with Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, Kai Havertz from Bayern Leverkusen and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.


It's left for how Frank Lampard will blend these players together ahead of their campaign which began last week Monday.

Recall that Chelsea defeated Brighton Hove Albion 3-1 at the Amex Stadium with Jorginho, Kourt Zuma were on target for the Blues.


Timo Werner didn't score on his debut but created an assist for his side. In a latest interview with Bild he revealed the reason he turned down move to Liverpool instead joined Chelsea.

According to him, he's goal is to reach the same level as Liverpool's trio Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.


The 24-year-old told Bild: "I think it says enough that Jurgen Klopp is currently one of the most successful coaches in the world. Of course, if he wants you for his team, you will start pondering.

"In the past few months, I have also thought about a few other interested clubs. In the end, I decided to go to Chelsea with full conviction because I think it's the best move for me. I can say I haven't regretted it so far and I certainly won't in the future."


The Blues paid £47.5 million ($61m) to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig despite being linked to Liverpool.

Werner added: "I had to make the best decision for myself. At Chelsea, I saw that I can play straight away and be a regular. With this project, I can grow.

"This is an opportunity that Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah may have seen four or three years ago at Liverpool FC. They too went there to develop so that they could win the Premier League and the Champions League. That's where I was now, and of course, I would like to see that development."

Timo scored 95 goals in 159 matches at Red Bull Arena as he guided them to finish in third place in the Bundesliga last season.
