I'm confident that Aubameyang will sign Arsenal new contract extension - Arteta

The future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has continued to be a concern for fans as their talisman is yet to sign a contract extension.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is currently in his final year of his current deal with the Emirates outfit.

He finished second top scorer with 20 goals in the league last season. He also guided Arsenal to win the FA Cup trophy last season after victory against Chelsea in the final.

Aubameyang has lifted the Community Shield after Arsenal defeated Liverpool last week.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has stated that he's confident that Aubameyang will out pen to paper on new deal.

 

“I can say that I am even more confident than I was at the end of last season when you asked me the same question 10 times!” Arteta said.

“I am very optimistic. I think [those fans who are worried] can be pretty relaxed!”
