Pep Guardiola might have to sign a striker this transfer window. This comes after the sad news that he's pointsman will be out for some time.
It's been gathered that Sergio Aguero could miss the first two months of the season.Reports suggest that the Argentine international is currently injured with a knee injury.
Manchester City finished behind Premier League Champions, Liverpool last season and will be hoping to make a statement this season.
Pep Guardiola side only picked up the League Cup as their only trophy last season.
"We knew that the injury was difficult," Guardiola said. "He is doing the job, in maybe one month or two months he will be ready.
"He has to come back on the pitch and regain the physical condition."
The Argentinian played last game for Manchester City in June. He has reportedly had surgery on the meniscus problem. The injury ruled him out of the Premier League restart and Champions League knockout stage which the Citizens lost to Lyon .
Pep Guardiola added:"Sergio was out for a long time and Sergio is not a guy who regains the physical condition quick so I think in one month or two months he will be ready."
Aguero is in the final year of his City contract, he joined Manchester City from Atletico Madrid nine years ago.
