Arsenal might be having a new face at the back when the season kick off. The 2020-21 season in English is expected to begin on September 12.

Arsenal will travel away to Craven Cottage to play Fulham on 12th of September.

Sokratis might be on his way out of the club, according to Goal.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the club are trying to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

The 32-year-old centre-back joined the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.

The Greek center back hasn't found it easy under Mikel Arteta, as he made only 19 appearances for the north London side last season.

It's been gathered that Sokratis is in the final 12 months of his deal with the Gunners.

Arsenal night be looking at selling the defender who seems out of favour under Arteta.

The Gunners boss has already signed Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille and Williams Saliba has returned from his loan spell at Saint Etienne.

"We're working on it," he said to Radio Kiss Kiss. "The transfer market is a laugh. In the world of football, balls swell out of proportion, it seems that you are talking to people who are blackmailers."
