In the 30 minutes, the home side got the equaliser, it was Andrej Galabinov (Spezia) header from the centre of the box to the top right corner. Assisted by Matteo Ricci with a cross.
Second half saw Sassuolo got back ahead in the game, Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) converted the penalty with a left footed shot to the high centre of the goal.
Two minutes after Gregoire Defrel (Sassuolo) left footed shot from the centre of the box to the high centre of the goal made it 3-1. He was assisted by Francesco Caputo.
Francesco Caputo (Sassuolo) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the top left corner scored the fourth for the away side. Assisted by Gian Marco Ferrari with a headed pass following a corner.
