Ahmed Musa has peeped John Obi Mikel as the third most capped Super Eagles player. This came after he played in Friday’s international friendly against Algeria.
The 27-year-old replaced Samuel Chukwueze in the 75th minute as Gernot Rohr’s men were trailing the African champions 1-0 at the Jacques Lemans Arena.

It's been gathered that he now has 92 Nigeria cap.

Prior to the game, Musa was on 91 caps, on level terms with the former Chelsea star, John Mikel Obi who quit international football after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.

Meanwhile, it's only duo of Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama stand in front of Musa in the top two of most capped players for Nigeria.
