From the new Chelsea set up, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Kovacic, Kourt Zuma, Christensen, Kepa and Fikayo Tomori, Recce James have featured in Frank Lampard team.

It's been reported that Recce James who has been under studying captain Cesar Azpilicueta will take over that position at full back when the Spanish international leaves.

Reece James joined Chelsea at the age of six. He grew from the academy of the West London side. The full back captained the under-18s to win the FA Youth Cup and was named Academy Player of the Season in the 2017-18 season.

Following his progression as an academy starlet, he signed a new four-year contract with the club in June 2018.

The 20 years old joined Championship club Wigan Athletic on loan for the 2018–19 season for more playing time. This saw him earn his place in the first team the following season.

In 2019, James made his debut for Chelsea as he scored one goal and assisted two in a 7–1 win over Grimsby Town in the third round of the 2019–20 EFL Cup.

Today, the club posted throwback of the full back while he was playing the under age competition as a Chelsea starlet.
