The home side went ahead after 19 minutes as Burak Yilmaz (Lille) header from the left side of the six yard box to the bottom right corner following a set piece situation.
Two minutes into the second half, Jonathan Bamba (Lille) got the second goal with a right footed shot from very close range to the bottom right corner.
Lens were reduced to ten men as Clement Michelin (Lens) was shown the red card in the 57 minutes.
