Montepllier were thrashed 4-0 at their home ground after the received two red cards in the first half at the Stade de la Mosson on Sunday.
Nine minutes into the game, it was the visitors that took the lead after Hilton (Montpellier) was shown the red card following a foul in the box.
Boulaye Dia (Reims) converts the penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. He added the second four minutes later with a left footed shot from very close range to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Mathieu Cafaro with a through ball.
Nathanael Mbuku (Reims) made it 3-0 after his left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Kaj Sierhuis with a headed pass.
Just before half time, Montepllier were red to nine men as Tallec was sent off.
Reims captialised on the numerical advantage and went ahead to grab fourth goal from the penalty spot. Boulaye Dia (Reims) converts the penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner.
