It all started with the come back against Newcastle United last weekend when Manchester United came from a goal down to thrash the Magpies 4-1 at the Saint James park.
The Red Devils followed up the win with another victory against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday as Marcus Rashford scored a late goal at the Parc Des Princes to give Solskjaer side a 2-1 win.
Manchester United came into their clash against Chelsea with a high spirit at Old Trafford, although the Red Devils haven't had it easy at home haven lost to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer welcome back Harry Maguire who missed last game against PSG, he partner Lindelof at the back.
But Chelsea were unable to mount pressure on the United back line, but Frank Lampard side have their goalkeeper Edouard Mendy to thank with his saves.
The Senegalese who joined from Rennes in the summer window kept a clean sheet against Sevilla during their Champions League clash in the mid week.
He followed up with another masterclass performance against United, he denied Marcus Rashford twice and Juan Mata in the game.
Meanwhile Luke Shaw believes Manchester United would have secured all three points if not for Mendy's brilliance between the sticks.
Shaw told the club's official website: “I feel like we created the better chances.
"Their keeper made wonderful saves at times. I was right behind it [Rashford’s shot] and, like I said, their keeper was very good today. He made a couple of very good saves that kept them in the game.
“We defended much better than we have been, especially against a very good team like Chelsea who have high-quality players all around the pitch."
Marcus Rashford would have won the game for Red Devils in the 90th minutes when he curled a shot at the edge of Chelsea's box, only for Mendy to save as he dived to his left side.
Shaw added: “I feel like they didn’t really create much, and we did well in that aspect - but higher up the pitch, we should have maybe grabbed a goal, or maybe even two, and taken the three points.”
