Chelsea have been trying to build their squad as they made some big money spending this ended summer window.
Frank Lampard has identified some areas which he needed to strengthen, one of which is the creative aspect of the team.

Chelsea move to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax last year during the 2019-20 season, although he was registered officially as a Chelsea player and has been handed jersey number 22.

The Blues fans are yet to get a glimpse of the Morocco international who was injured in Chelsea's pre season game against Brighton Hive Albion in August.

Apparently, he had recovered from the knee injury and he was handed a call up by his national team in his month's international break.

Ziyech featured in Morocco victory against Senegal last week friendly game.

It's now been reported that the play maker has returned to England.

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has confirmed Hakim Ziyech's return to England. This is because Frank Lampard will be hoping to have the services of Ziyech ahead of Chelsea's Premier League encounter against Southampton next week.

The Moroccan football governing body revealed that there was an agreement with Chelsea to release the player after the game.

The 27-year-old replaced Vitesse's Oussama Tannane just before the hour-mark and laid an assist for Youssef El-Arabi to secure Morocco's 3-1 win against Senegal.

“Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) left the national team camp in order to continue his medical program as previously agreed between the national team's medical staff and the English club,” the statement read on the FRMF website.
