Ronald Koeman seems to be enjoying the atmosphere at Barcelona. Recall that the Dutch international left his role as coach of Netherlands to manage his dream job.
Replaced Quique Setien who was sacked after poor 2019-2020 campaign at Camp Nou which saw Barcelona finish without a silverware and humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi final stage.

Ronald Koeman had promised to bring back the glory days at the club, but he brought in some young talents who he feels can adapt to his football philosophy.

Sergino Dest joined from Ajax in the full back position. The Dutch boss also ensured captain Lionel Messi remained at the club at least for this season.

Although, Barcelona weren't able to spend big in the window due to their inability to sell likes of Philippe Coutinho, Dembele and Antoine Griezmann who are currently on high wages.

According to Daily Mail Online, Koeman had identified Memphis Depay as a target but were unable to bring in the Dutch due to financial implications.
But after 1-0 loss to Getafe last night, the coach revealed he would try to bring the Lyon star in January window.

Koeman was asked by AD if he would move for him in the January transfer window, and he replied: 'It's a possibility. I will try because I want to have him at Barcelona, but I can't know what the financial situation of the club will be then. We'll have to wait.'

Recall that Getafe handed Ronald Koeman his first defeat as manager of Barcelona after Màtá scored from the penalty spot to give Getafe the win.

The former Everton boss revealed the financial crisis caused by coronavirus affected the club's transfer in the just ended window.

'Everything was ready but due to rules we knew we had to sell a player first,' Koeman added. 'In the end, that didn't happen. We wanted Memphis because he's a great player and because he's got qualities that I think we lack, including an ability to play with depth in his game.'
