Manchester City have been faced with injury in their striking position this season. Pep Guardiola has already lost Gabriel Jesus to injury and it's been gathered that their top striker is currently out injured.
According to reports, Sergio Aguero has sustained harmstring during and will be out for some weeks.

Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London stadium over the weekend.

The Argentine international was substituted at half time against David Moyes side.

According to Goal, Aguero will now miss  Manchester City trip to Marseille on Tuesday night.

The Citizens travel to France to face the Ligue 1 side in their UEFA Champions League clash match day 2 .
 

On Aguero injury: “It depends on the injury, 10-15 days is the minimum,” Guardiola said. “If it’s a little bit longer it will be three weeks, one month.”

The 32-year-old has scored 255 goals in 373 appearances for City during that time at Etihad Stadium.

The manager also spoke on fitness of Kevin De Bruyne, the Belgian came off the bench in Saturday's draw.

It's also been gathered that Aymeric Laporte has travelled to France with the squad. 


This means Pep Guardiola will play a false striker for the game. Although academy forward Liam Delap is not eligible after being left out of the squad submitted to UEFA.

Guardiola added that Nathan Ake and Benjamin Mendy are currently injured.


“Kevin is back again, he played a few minutes at West Ham,” Guardiola added. “Aymeric is back, Nathan [Ake] is so close, Gabriel is a week to 10 days to returning. The rest will be two or three weeks - Sergio and [Benjamin] Mendy.”
