Atalanta thrashed Lazio 4-1 at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night. Alejandro Gomez scored a brace in the game as the visitors wrapped up a comprehensive win.
It took the visitors ten minutes before the opening goal came, it was Robin Gosens (Atalanta) left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner.
Just before half time, two more goals came. 32nd minutes saw Hans Hateboer (Atalanta)doubled the lead. It was a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the top right corner. Assisted by Robin Gosens with a cross.
In the 42st minutes, Alejandro Gómez (Atalanta) right footed shot from the right side of the box to the bottom left corner made it 3-0.
Lazio came into the second half trying to get a goal to boost their morale which they finally got on the score sheet.
It was a consolation from Felipe Caicedo (Lazio) left footed shot from the left side of the six yard box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with a cross.
But Atalanta ensured the points were save with Alejandro Gómez (Atalanta)getting the second on the night. A left footed shot from the left side of the box to the top right corner. Assisted by Ruslan Malinovskiy.
