Arsenal fans have been over the moon since the arrival of the long time target. The north London side have been linked to the box to box midfielder during the summer window.

It's understood that Mikel Arteta moved to seal the deal for Thomas Partey on deadline day transfer window. Arsenal activated his 45m pounds buy out clause which saw him put pen to paper on a long term deal at the Emirates.

He came on in the second half late in the game against Manchester City, although Arsenal were down by a goal by Raheem Sterling but Partey managed to steady the midfield.
Fans were excited of his display despite the few minutes he played at Etihad Stadium last weekend.

But Mikel Arteta decided to hand him his full debut against Rapid Wien in the Europa League, which he guided the team to a 2-1 away from home.

After the game, the Spainsh boss sang praises of Thomas Partey after the game. He is expected to start against Leicester City at Emirates stadium on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, the 27 years old was filmed performing the Arsenal rites which is usually done for every new player.

He was singing a song believed to be from his native Ghana while his Arsenal team-mates joined in with the clapping as they cheered him up.

The clip was filmed by Arsenal's captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who shared footage of his rite of passage via his Instastories.

Aubameyang captioned the post: "@ThomasPartey5 sorry bro you can't escape."
Also, David Luiz was also spotted smiling at the camera.
